The behaviour of his son makes the father remark, “I know nothing of him”. In the poem father is unable to understand his son because they talk like strangers. There is no proper Communication between them. Though they live in the same house, they remain emotionless towards each other. In the end, the son tries to explain his condition, yet to solution is attained.
