The mood of the poem The Snake Trying is irritated and annoyed. In the poem, the poet is talking about the cruelty of humans towards the nature. A snake, which is green in colour and harmless still becomes the victim of a man’s wrath for no reasons. He is chasing the snake away with a stick in order to kill it. In the end, the snake manages to save itself. However the poet questions the human behaviour towards the nature.
