In the poem On Killing A Tree, the poet explains how we should properly kill a tree. It is a long and cruel process. Ironically, he does not endorse its killing. Instead he is exposing how we humans are cutting the trees for our personal benefits. Like us trees also have a life. Cutting them make us their murderers. Moreover the trees keep our climate and earth healthy. Cutting them will bring natural disasters.
