The poem On Killing a Tree gives out a strong message of love for nature. The poet deliberately explains the steps involved in killing a tree. Today, for our comfort, we are cutting the trees in bulk. We don’t have any sympathy for the trees. In the poem, the poet tries to raise pity for trees in our hearts. This way, he hopes that we may think twice before cutting trees.
