The central idea of the poem Where Do All the Teachers Go is that the teachers should not punish young children for their mistakes. It has bad effect on their day-to-day life. In the poem, the child, who is often punished for his mistake wonders whether teachers are totally different beings (who have not committed a single mistake on their lives).
