The central idea of the poem The Quarrel is that quarrels are common among young siblings and they take place on daily basis. But, wise is the one who seeks forgiveness even after knowing that the other is wrong.
Here in the poem, we do not know who exactly was wrong, but poet’s brother asks for forgiveness because he cannot live in bad mood and separate from his sister. So he asks for forgiveness and the poet forgives her and considers her wise.
