In the poem, “Dover Beach”, the moon falls under a happy imagery. It symbolizes the calmness that will get disrupted soon. The moon denotes to the calm before the storm. The moon throws a positive light on matters, basking them under a glow of hope, which soon disappears, but even for a fleeting moment, the moon gives off hope for others.
