Chief Seattle was a Native American chief who did not waver from his path of righteousness. Chief Seattle is knowledgeable and wise as it can be seen when he draws comparisons from nature and reflects upon the common destiny of death for both the natives and the white men. He understands the play of politics and mocks the words of the Big Chief yet at the same time, he is understanding and friendly when he says, “ we may be brothers after all. We will see.” He is not respectful to his ancestors but also vows to protect the ancestral land and celebrate the rights of the natives.
