The poet has seen the dread effects of World War II. This poem somehow reflects this experience. In the poem, the poet tells what the war would lead. According to him, we are all same and hence we should treat everybody equally. Next he says that hate leads to wars which are the cause of destruction. Universal brotherhood, according to the poet, is the only solution for a better world.
