Yes, certainly the poet is nostalgic about his childhood. The line “When did my childhood go” shows that the poet is missing his childhood days. Throughout the poem, the poet is comparing and contrasting innocence of childhood and hypocrisy of adulthood. He desires to go back to his childhood. However he can’t.
