The Gessler Brothers were German shoemakers who made the best shoes in a London. They valued the quality of their boots over anything else. The narrator always remembered them because of their hardworking nature and their integrity. Despite facing tough competitions from the big firms, the quality of their work did not change. Though eventually they lost in the big run, the narrator had never seen or worn shoes like the ones made by the Gessler Brothers. So fine was their quality that one could not easily wear them out and unlike the big firms, they didn’t take help of advertisements, even if they suffered heavy losses. They remained true to themselves and to their work till the very end.
