The metaphor used in the poem is when the speaker says “constant flowing guilt”. Here the guilt flowing through the humans who have trapped the dolphins is being compared to water pumped from a tank. Another metaphor is used when the speaker says while describing the lack of nature in the man-made pool by saying “no truth in these waters.”
