2. Simile:
“… let thy voice
Rise like a fountain for me night and day.”
In this line, Sir Bedivere’s voice is compared to that of a fountain with the usage of the word ‘like’.
3. Metaphor:
“For what are men better than sheep or goats
That nourish a blind life within the brain,
If, knowing God, they lift not hands of prayer
Both for themselves and those who call them friend?”
Here, Arthur compares those men who do not pray to sheep and goats, that is, mere animals.
