The present world of the dolphins is very different from the previous one. In the previous one, the dolphins were free. The dolphins, lived under the sun and the moon, on the vast seas and were able to form their own thoughts and live together happily. However, in the present world of the dolphins, they are trapped within the limits of a man-made pool and are denied of their freedom. The sun and the moon are replaced by a “colored ball” on which they learn to balance and perform tricks “till the man has disappeared.” The artificial pool do not feel like their home and they are unable to get accustomed to the rhythms of the water.
