Stone wall- The image of wall is created through the description of its boulders and stones and how it is situated in isolation between two different farms.
Old-Stone savage- The neighbour who wants the proper fence is described as a savage from an ancient stone age. When he brings big stones to repair the wall, he is described using this image.
Neighbour beyond the hill- This image creates the atmosphere of the area and how people live there.
