The philosophy of the poem begins when it refers to how Truth breaks in to the thoughts of the speaker. It is the reality of things beyond how they may look like. The poem tells us that one should cherish the earth as a place to love, there is no better place than this. One can not go away from it or try to seek refuge. Rather, one should get away, take rest and come back again.
The titles of the frost’s poems are always ironical. Here, Birches are the centre image because of the way the speaker thinks of them. Birches are what provoke the emotions of the speaker and put him into reverie. The run of his imagination is around the trees so the title is apt in its essence.
