Amanda desires to be a Rapunzel because she is fed up with the daily taunts of her parents. Every day, she listens to their harsh words which affect her life. In order to escape the depression and sorrow, she imagines herself as Rapunzel because she wants freedom from humans and also from everyday shouting.
She imagines herself locked in the tower which has no doors. There she feels better and does not want any humans around her.
