Lencho, a peasant who is quite hard working and dedicated in his works meets a tragedy when a hailstorm destroys all his crops. being poor and having no other resources to feed his family. He gets depressed. His wife knows who knows well about her husband’s faith is God urges him to pray to Him and believe in Him.
Lencho being an uneducated person thinks that God exists in real and thus writes to Him asking for divine help and some money to help him sustain his family.
