   Following are the two reasons which made Bholi to talk very little:

   1. When Bholi was 2 years old, she was attacked by smallpox. It had bad effect on her face as well as on her mind. She became a retarded child and also began stammering. Thus she could not speak properly.
   2. The second important reasons for her talking very little was the inferiority complex when developed in her mind as she grew up. Because of her stammering and scars on her face, the children would make fun of her. Hence she did not have courage to speak.
