The poet has used alternative rhyme schemes throughout this poem. Thus, the rhyme scheme of the poem is ABABCDCD. It can be seen in each stanza. However, the poet has used imperfect rhymes in a few instances of the poem. It can be seen in the following lines:
So he buckled right in with the trace of a grin
On his face. If he worried he hid it.
He started to sing as he tackled the thing
That couldn’t be done, and he did it!
Here the words “grin” and “thing” is not a perfect rhyme.
