In the title “The Never-Never Nest”, Cedric Mount, has used the word “Never” twice, to emphasise on the fact that the nest (The house) would never be built. Despite of being written in a humorous way till the end, the play indirectly condemns the addiction of young people nowadays to purchase everything on instalments without caring about their present allowances and earnings.
He emphasizes on todays reality that people are becoming careless and are not interested in owning the things totally of their own. The playwright is in great dilemma and he personally feels that couples like”Jack and Jill “would make a nest easily but they will never settle happily.
