In the play The Hour of Truth, Baldwin’s family whom he calls “Humble, Loyal and Selfless” suddenly become “Shames, Liars, Hypocrites and Thieves” when they come to know about $1000 bribe. Their mind is corrupted and they want to get the money by any means. They start persuading Baldwin to accept the bribe. They give various reasons for that.
