    He emphasizes on todays reality that people are becoming careless and are not interested in owning the things totally of their own. The playwright is in great dilemma and he personally feels that couples like”Jack and Jill “would make a nest easily but they will never settle happily.

    Yes, money certainly changes the attitude of people. It easily corrupts our minds and make us do worst things. In the play The Hour of Truth, Baldwin’s family whom he calls “Humble, Loyal and Selfless” suddenly become “Shames, Liars, Hypocrites and Thieves” when they come to know about $1000 bribe. Their mind is corrupted and they want to get the money by any means. They start persuading Baldwin to accept the bribe. They give various reasons for that. However Baldwin remains stick to his principles but he comes to know the reality of his loyal family. Hence money can easily corrupt our minds.
