The central idea of the poem Prayer is poet’s prayer to Allah to lead him on the path of truth. He prays to Allah to enlightenment him with knowledge and fill his heart with love and compassion. He prays to Lord to protect him from all types of troubles and difficulties. The whole poem is a prayer from an innocent and pure heart to Lord to lead him on the right path.
