Grown-ups keep interfering in the life of children. They have set some rules for do’s and dont’s and they keep preaching these rules to the young ones every time. This irritates the children. In the poem, a child narrates a similar story in which he is instructed every time. Hence he expresses his irritation.
The message of this poem is that adults should not interfere too much in the life of children. It can have a negative impact on their psychology. They begin to hate their elders because of this.
