Jayanto and the narrator went to bed at around ten. The narrator felt fast asleep as soon as put his head on the pillow but was awakened by a slight noise. He turned and saw Jayanto sitting up on his bed. On asking Jayanto what was wrong, the latter asked him whether the circuit house had any small animals that can climb. The narrator said that might be possible but rats and mice usually didn’t climb. Jayanto said that he woke up suddenly as something had walked over his chest. The first time he woke up because he had heard a shuffling noise near the windows and the second time when something walked over his chest.
