    • The bourgeoisie is a class of people whose economic power is based on the ownership of capital, including land, factories, and financial institutions.

The bourgeoisie also controls the political system and the media, which are used to suppress and deceive the working class and oppressed people. The bourgeoisie owns the means of production (land, factories, etc..); it employs large numbers of people, but they do not own any of the means of production; and they exploit the surplus-value produced by workers in order to make more profit. In short, the bourgeoisie is an exploitative class of people who live off the unpaid labour of others.
