In the last two lines of the poem, the poet emphasizes on the theme. He says that with love and compassion, mankind can be saved as seen in the poem. Winning is not what life is all about but being there for one another, even if it’s a competition. The athletes are there for each other and at the end, all of them becomes the real winners in life.
