Seeing the young boy depressed and still after losing his ball, the poet becomes sad. He wishes to buy him a new ball but it seems to be useless because the young boy had an attachment with the ball. The poet cannot buy that attachment with money. The poet also feels that though the boy is sad, he has learned a new lesson that will help him move on in the future.
