Ramlal’s wife did not like the idea of sending girls to school because she believed that if girls are sent to school, nobody will marry them. However, Tehsildar and his wife suggested Ramlal to send Bholi to school. Ramlal could not refuse their advice.
Moreover, Ramlal knew that nobody will marry Bholi because of her stammering and scars. Hence he agreed to send her to school.
