An epidemic disease is the one which spreads quickly and affects a large number of people in a specific area in a short period of time. During the outbreak of an epidemic disease, the number of affected people increases drastically. e.g. the spread os swine flu in a city.
On the other hand, a pandemic disease is the one which spreads in a large number of countries and even the whole world. So pandemic disease is a epidemic disease which spreads across the world and affects a quite large number of people (i.e. millions). e.g. the famous Corona Virus or COVID-19 which first spread in China and thus across the world.
