    This poem has a myriad of poetic devices, some of which are as follows:

    1. Personification: Throughout the poem, ‘Time’ has been personified.
    2. Alliteration: A couple of examples would be ‘same flower and smiles’ ,and ‘race the run’.
    3. Metaphor: One such example would be the reference of the Sun to be ‘The glorious lamp of heaven’.
