    2. Death – The poem deals with the idea of death and its incomprehension. The poet is surprised by the way death can arrive at our doorsteps.
    3. Randomness of Tragedy– It deals with the theme of randomness which means anything can happen to anybody at any given time. Here in the poem, the tragedy happens to the boy who is unable to believe that he could loose his hand that way.
