Bholi was not treated well in her home. Because of her bad stammering and scars on face, she was often made fun of. So, she stopped speaking and became an introvert. So, she was called a “dumb cow”. She was given the clothes and things of her elder sister. As she was a girl, she was not sent to school (until Tehsildar advised them).
Her parents had no hope for her. They thought that no one will marry her. Hence she was often discriminated and could not get that love which parents give to their children.
