    Lady Macbeth’s tragedy lies in her being over-ambitious. Just as the tale of Icarus and Dedalus, Icarus flew too close to the sun despite several warning from his father, resulting in his wax wings getting melt, leading him to downfall.

    Similarly, Lady Macbeth is also overly ambitious being a loyal and devoted wife whose sole purpose was his husband, King Macbeth’s, hold on to the throne irrespective of how evil and cruel the path may be.
