    The narrator said that in this story he had drawn the portrait of a man, an ordinary fisherman who possessed nothing in the world excerpt a quality which was the rarest, the most precious and the loveliest anyone could ever have. This quality shone radiantly in him throughout the story and that quality was goodness, just goodness.
