The theme of the poem Where Do All the Teachers Go is that the teachers should not treat the young students harshly. It affects their childhood. In the poem, the speaker is an innocent child who is probably punished for various mistakes which he commit. This makes him to think that teacher is different and he would have led a very different life than his own.
Often the teachers expect too much from the children and punish them for violating the rules. the poet criticises this behaviour of the teachers.
