The theme of the poem Trees revolve around the beauty of nature. The poet wrote this poem when he happened to see the tree outside her house one morning. He was mesmerised by its beauty.
Hence the poem is all about the beauty of the tree, particularly during the spring season. In this poem, the poet imagines the tree as a female and refers it using the word “her”. He describes how the tree as beautiful and keeps praying to God by lifting its leafy arms i.e. branches upwards.
Like mothers, it also provides shelter to the birds and faces hardships (snow). The spring breeze often teases it and kisses it. The rain also intimates with the tree.
