  1. The poem has two sets of contradictory themes. In the first stanza the poem revolves around the themes of God, Nature and Mankind. It talks about how God created Nature and Man with abundance and everything is charged with his essence. In the second stanza, the poem shifts its theme to the Industrialization and destruction carried on by mankind in the name of evolution.
