The poem revolves around the central idea of a mother’s fear and desperation. The mother wants her daughter to stay connected to her roots. The daughter has been given a simple and humble life to live in her childhood. The mother wants her to remember this life and live the Samar away. She does not want her little girl to be corrupted by high ambitions and luxurious lifestyle.
