What is the central idea of the poem Casablanca?

1 Answer

  1. The central theme of the poem is the bravery of a young boy. Casabianca, a thirteen year old boy, faces the fire with bravery. He follows his father’s orders and stays in his position and does his duty until the end. The boy confidently stands in front of the fire. Even though he was filled with despair he still does not move from his place. The poet called him the “noblest thing” and a “heroic figure” due to his obedience and bravery.
