The poet tries to explain to his countrymen what is the power of courage. He asks them to look into blacksmith’s shop which symbolises their hearts. According to him, the fierce flames make the iron red. Similarly, we should also lit the flames of anger against the British. Only this way we will be able to open the padlocks which had enslaved us. And thus we will be able to achieve freedom.
