He saw his whole room bathed in the moonlight, “making it rich and like a lily in bloom.” At the moment Abou saw an Angel writing “in a book of gold.” Out of curiosity, Abou asked the Angel what it was writing to which the latter replied that it was writing “The names of those who love the Lord.” However Abou heard that his name was not there so he, cheerfully, asked the Angel to mention his name as loved his fellow men.
