He said this was an ancient friendship law. It is still a very good friendship law. It is still a law that works very well. When someone cares enough about us to cheer us up when we are down and to comfort us when we are afflicted it creates an enormous sense of value in our souls. It makes us feel like family. It gives us a sense of belonging. It is a priceless gift.
