The poem The Gift of India is an anti-war poem because although the poet is celebrating the sacrifices of our brave soldiers, she desires that the terror and tumult of the war may end because it leads to hatred. In is the cause of destruction. It is the cause of deaths. Hence the peace can only prevail if there are no wars.
