Father is depressed and in the state of confusion. He desires to reconcile with his son and forgive him despite of the fact that he (son) is a spendthrift and has wasted all his money. Both live like strangers in the same house and both want to end the communication gap but their discussion turns out to be of no use. Hence the father remains depressed.
