    Indirect Speech: He asks what my name is.

    Explanation: When the reporting verb is in the present tense (says), the tense in the indirect (reported) speech remains the same.

    However, the pronouns will change.

    And if the sentence is interrogative, we use the reporting verbs like ask, enquire, etc.
